This weekend we marked 20 years of the country’s first community wood recycling project, The Wood Store Brighton. We were joined by volunteers from the early days of the project, wood recyclers from all over the country, and some of the many builders who use our wood recycling services.
Brighton and Hove Wood Recycling project has won the P.E.A. (People. Environment. Achievement.) Award in the Resources category. The winners were announced at a Green Carpet event on Friday at the i360 observation tower.

Brighton Woodstore, the first ever Community Wood Recycling enterprise, is moving its premises from the old marketplace on Circus Street. The new retail site is at Preston Barracks on Lewes Road.
