Building Futures with Wates

Humber Wood Recycling were delighted to get involved in Wates’s Building Futures programme. This is a vocational training programme, aimed at long term unemployed adults, all of whom are disadvantaged, in finding work.

The programme provides soft skills and practical training as well as a valuable insight into the construction industry. Real life projects can provide a key part of this, and Humber were able to work with a group of 10 trainees to assemble planters and a picnic bench for the Thorpe Hub community project.
